Ron Long Investigations, LLC

Ron Long was born and raised in Missouri. His college education includes an Associates Degree in Computer Programming followed by a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration. Ron began his career in law enforcement as a Reserve Officer and then moved to full-time employment with the St. Robert Police Department in Southern Missouri. After moving to Texas he worked for the Arlington Police Department, the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office (Ft. Worth) and the Travis County Sheriff's Office (Austin). While in law enforcement, Ron served as patrol officer, criminal investigator and several supervisory positions. As an investigator, Ron worked in the fields of Narcotics, Organized Crime and Property/ Fraud investigations. He also served in numerous supervisory positions, promoting from the rank of Corporal to eventual that of a Major.

Ron later entered the insurance investigative field as a Special Investigator and worked for several national insurance companies. In that position he developed the fraud program in Texas for one company, and served as a Senior Special Investigator for another.  In 2004, Ron founded the Central States Investigations Company, LLC, which supplies insurance claim investigative services to the mid-west. Ron recently expanded his business to encompass all aspects of private investigations, at which time Ron Long Investigations, LLC, was formed. 

During his career, Ron has obtained the designations of Fraud Claim Law Specialist, Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator and Master Peace Officer, among others. He also holds an Associates in Claims Degree, along with a Certificate in General Insurance. Ron served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Advisory Council on Arson, was Vice President of the International Association of Special nvestigation Units (North Texas), and was an advisor to the Texas Auto Theft Prevention Authority. Ron also served as Chairman of the Texas Insurance Fraud Conference for three years. His professional educational experiences include; graduating from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Police Academy, the ATF National Fire Investigation Academy, the Texas Regional Police Academy, and the NICB SIU Academy. Ron has attended over 260 state and federal classes relating to insurance claims/fraud, law enforcement and arson.
